Daniel Oliveira will complete his debut season in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in Cyprus this week on the back of a successful pre-event test.
The Brazilian covered approximately 80 kilometres during the session on Monday at the wheel of his Stohl Racing Peugeot 207 Super 2000.
Manfred Stohl, who has been overseeing the Brazilian’s IRC campaign throughout the year, said: “Everything was fine with no problems. We did a little bit of work on the set-up and the stage we used was half Tarmac, half gravel, so that was good. It’s going to be a difficult rally but we have made some good preparations.”
The FxPro Cyprus Rally, round 12 of the 2010 IRC season, will mark the second time Oliveira has been co-driven by Portugal’s Carlos Magalhães, who partnered namesake Bruno Magalhães to victory on Sata Rallye Açores in July.
“They seem to have a good relationship and of course they speak the same language, which obviously helps,” said Stohl, who finished second on the Cyprus Rally in 2005
